so why are you not in canada already? employers in Canada will NOT call you for an interview if you are outside the country. They do NOT want to have to go through government bureaucracy to get you a work permit.

And since this is in the food service section, unless you are a very well known chef, you will not be hired because there are plenty of Canadians coming out of chef school.

Sorry for being blunt, but thats the reality here in Canada.

There is a INdo-Canadian chamber of commerce in Toronto. Just ask around. you will be guided - they offer guidance and help to new immigrants to complete immigration formalities, where and how to get help from state and how NOT to get into trouble unwittingly. Gurdwara/temple are places where you can meet number of expats who are eager to help. Canadian Government's immigration officials themselves have counsellors and they are very helpful unlike other counutries.
