How could I find a job, or hiring people into Edmonton Area?

We Answered:

If you are in Canada illegally then it is illegal for any company to hire you to work for them also. Canada is no different than the US in this area. everyone who works is supposed to have a social insurance number and is required to pay income taxes on their income. If you don't have a social Insurance number or a work visa anyone who hires you can face criminal charges. BUT even though businesses aren't supposed to hire people without the proper Identification many of them hire illegal workers anyway and pay them cash (under the table) in other words they don't keep records of who they hire or what they pay them etc. Often these jobs are temporary and many of them pay very low wages, often lower than the minimum wage set by the government. You can always find work in the major cities and there are always businesses willing to hire you.

How could I find a company or employment into Calgary or Edmonton Alberta Area?

We Answered:

You would not believe how many businesses are closing here in Calgary because of no staff. It's ridiculous. Every restaurant at the Calgary Zoo is closed because of a shortage of workers so they are trying to find workers from Australia and a few other countries. I'm not sure what the process is through immigration, but we have several restaurants here in Calgary that I'm sure would hire you in a minute! There's even an excellent Mexican restaurant that turns into a club at night that I'm sure is hiring! You would have no problem getting a job, the only challenge is finding an inexpensive place to live. Many young people are living together to save on rent and it's working well for them.
Keep me posted, perhaps I can help you with looking for work.

Alberta's unemployment rate is 3.5%, lowest in Canada. You may want to better define where you want to live and then check the local newspapers. Check the Canada Job Bank posted by the Canadian Government. You can search for Alberta, or by area.
