We Answered:

You can post your resume on Monster Board.com

Harold Said:

I've been thinking about moving to Houston, TX to look for jobs. Is it risky to move there without a job?

We Answered:

If you cannot survive for at least a month with no job, I would not recommend the move. There are a lot of employers looking to hire. There are also a lot of job seekers. Depending on your skill level you may be able to secure a job fairly easy. You can always work in fast food, hotels, and restaurants until something better comes. They hire daily out here. Also, there are a great deal of call centers who have a very high turnaround.

Looking for hiring companies in Houston, what is the best way to search for jobs?

We Answered:

Get a copy of the local newspaper, the HOUSTON CHRONICLE: http://www.chron.com/
preferably the Sunday classifieds.
That's how I found a lot of my jobs.
I live in this dump, why would you want to move here?

Martha Said:

Do you know any employment agency that could help me find a job in Houston?

We Answered:

KELLY SERVICES!!!!!!!! They are a great company with presence in 33 countries. I even know a supervisor in one of the Houston branches. Kelly Services, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Troy, Mich., providing employment to more than 700,000 employees annually, with skills including office services, accounting, engineering, information technology, law, science, marketing, light industrial, education, and health care. They have many divisions, such as an Engineering recruiting division, and if nothing else could definitely help you find work for the interim until you find the job that is perfect for you. I work for Kelly Services and think they would be a great option for you. Also, Kelly Services never charges a fee to you(the applicant). Even if you do not choose Kelly Services you should consider a major staffing company like Manpower, Adecco, Randstad, Robert Half International, etc...
Here are the numbers for some of the Houston Branches:
Houston West 281.496.4800
Houston North 281.448.0069
Houston Downtown 713.654.9432

Good luck !
