Oh, see, I don't need to research this stuff. I know all about it already, because I have six disabled friends who get drive BMWs (and I work for a living but I drive a Civic! Sheeeesh). Also, last week I saw a woman using her food stamps to buy potato chips. Plus my neighbour has never worked a day in his life but he's 300lbs and an OxyContin addict, so obviously there's more than enough money for food when you're on welfare, and it just supports his drug habit!

Answer number 2. The unemployment $$ that you did not claim will be available at the end of your unemployment claim.
Whether you freelance or not is your decision. If you do not claim $$ in that week, it doesn't matter to UI what you are doing.
Remember that your benefit claim year is different than the regular year. So always file another claim when your first one runs out. You may have worked enough time in the required quarters (or earned enough money) to be able to open a new claim for another benefit year.

same thing happened to me except with nevada and new mexico, $2,300. i've given up trying to fix it and i'm repaying $55 a month. good luck.
