Job Search Indiana

Judith Said:

I live in Merrillville Indiana, where can I find a job?

We Answered:

Figure out an area of interest you have, and do a career search on job.com or careerbuilder.com

They can give you jobs close by that are available. You can even set up to get daily updates on new jobs that have become available. Also, try sprucing up your resume. Don't think of it as bragging. You need to really sell yourself. Also, if you get an interview, make sure to research the company, and PRACTICE for it. :)

Best of luck :)

Available overnight jobs in NW Indiana?

We Answered:

Have you tried UPS or the Times? I know the Times needs paper stuffers overnight and they advertise every couple of months for them. UPS has a third shift for people to load trucks. Otherwise your looking at gas stations and all night restaurants.

Anderson Indiana- I need a job can anyone help?

We Answered:

What kind of talents do you have? Think about something you do that people are willing to pay for and go from there. It's not a regular job but it could supplement your income while you are looking.

I started my first "work from home" job teaching guitar lessons. The experience helped me to learn about marketing and such and now I own my own business.

If you would like some tips and strategies that I used to make this happen, connect with me on yahoo. I would love to help you out.

Where can a 14yr. old work in Decatur, Indiana?

We Answered:

I do not know who will hire, perhaps a day care or a private family for tutoring. When I was your age I tutored, baby sat, and dog sat. I also did house cleaning. I found the cleaning job at my high school career center.

If you can't find a job consider making one. Do you have a special skill that could make money? Can you organize a talent show for local kids? Can you write a book? Can you sell antiques on Ebay (on a parent's account)? This would be the best time to find out before you have too many bills.

Also consider volunteering and doing an internship. These may not make money now but you will learn skills and it may help you get into college, get scholarships, and get a future job. This is especially true if you intern somewhere and they like you, they may offer you a job before advertising it.
