How do I search for a job without my employer finding out?We Answered:
I am not sure what job industry you are in, but when I was looking for a job I used a job search engine and any calls I received from my applications I tried to schedule a phone interview first. Then if I thought I would like the job and I received a call back for an interview I would call in sick. Maybe not the best move, but I am sure there is a reason you are looking for a new job. Now I only had to call in sick twice and of course I tried my best not to make it obvious. I am sure there realized once I put in my two weeks. Don't burn any bridges and definitely try your best to work your last two weeks.Anyways, I used http://www.jobmatchlive.com to search for jobs, which has a lot of jobs from a bunch of different job boards.
Good Luck!

How long does the average job search last?We Answered:
You should be searching right now. The average search is taking 6 months right now, sometimes longer. You will increase your chances of finding employment if you place no constraints on location. You can check federal government jobs at: usajobs.govGiven city and state budgets have been cut nationwide it will be difficult finding something at the government city level. If your college offers a job fair, attend. Make sure you already have a resume completed. Good luck to you! (college professor)
