CoralHead I do agree that going in person is the best way but how will she know what is available if she doesnt do a little background check and what if she cant afford airfare accomodations etc?

Get over myself? Never. But the answerer before me has a very narrow view of Jamaica and after rereading your post i can see that you are not West Indian at all. Your advice is thorough though

how did you come up with these two cities... they are extremly different from each other... i mean really different....

Boca Raton is for the most part upscale.... the average cost of a home is over 400,00 while North Port offers homes just over 100,000... the average pay is double that of North Port...

Boca Raton is located on east cost between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale on the ocean.... while of course North Pork is near Punta Gorda (nice area) on the west coast and is inland but close enough to drive over to the beach for the day (no waves on west coast though)...

Boca is located in Palm Beach County, which happens to be one of the top school districts in the state and all four high schools in Boca are highly rated...

Jamaica economy is doing bad, that means it will be hard to find a job in a first world country; rather than a Developed country. So, in reality, you would have to start your own business to look after yourself.

I think you are getting WAY too far in front of yourself. You're only 18. The economy sucks right now. It's good to have goals - but your goals are too specific. It isn't going to work out that way with your 'morning job' idea straight off the bat.

Of course you can't get a job in the CS field yet - you have no degree yet nor any actual job experience. And companies also don't like to hire people who have restricted or limited availability like college students. They need people who are available to work ANY shift.

One can't exactly state with certainty "I am going to be a computer systems analyst after college". How can you guarantee that will happen ??

I suggest focusing on your studies and get the best grades possible instead of making future pipe dreams for now. Keep the dreams in your mind, but don't let them take over or you will never accomplish them.
