Stephen Said:
getting jobs in montreal?We Answered:
Do you already have immigration/work permits lined up? Usually to get approval to immigrate to Quebec you must satisfy the French language requirement for the province. As you have not mentioned if you have Canadian citizenship or a Canadian immigration visa, I will advise you that it will not be possible to find a job in your employment sector without first obtaining a work permit and a social insurance number, as otherwise your prospective employers cannot legally hire you.Since you do not speak French, I will advise you to reconsider moving to Montreal. Certainly customer service positions require at least a certain degree of French fluency, and it will be difficult to find administrative work where French is not at all required.

Will I be able to find a job in montréal with my lacking language? We Answered:
you can be something like a busboy or janitor if you lack language skills, or something behind the scenesor you can be a cashier if youre familiar with numbers, greetings and directions in both languages, most companies will hire if you speak some of both.
if youre a student, then theres probably some jobs at your university/cegep that are offered to students.

What are the best online job search sites for a graphic designer in Montreal, Canada? We Answered:
Hi,These are are few suggestions for helping you in your job search.....
Networking - Register at the Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online.
Check the local paper -- In many cases the paper's classified are now online.
Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com.
Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com and it has been very useful to me, please go and check it out!
Good Luck,
Karen

Why when I search for jobs in Montreal, companies offers health services? We Answered:
Many companies offer a private "group insurance" plan, that provides additional coverage that would not normally be provided by the universal health care from the government. The cost per employee is usually a few dollars per paycheck, but offers peace of mind. For example, my company has a private plan that offers:
Life Insurance
- Pays for your funeral and gives money to your surviving widow or children
Long Term Disability
- Pays you a salary if you cannot work for an extended period.
Visioncare
- Pays for new prescription glasses annually or bi-annually, up to certain amount of $$.
Drug Benefits
- Pays all or most of cost for prescription drugs that may not be covered by universal healthcare.
Dental Insurance
- Pays for cleaning, xrays, root canal, etc. which are not covered by the government.
Emergency services
- Pays for ambulance, wheelchair rental, crutches
Other services
- Rehabilitation fees, physiotherapy treatments, in-home nurse
- private or semi-private room, TV service in hospital
- hearing aids
- wigs for hair loss, such as for chemotherapy patients.
- hotel lodging and transportation related to treatment of an injury or disease.
All of the things I mentioned are not covered or only have limited coverage under the universal health care plan. But they are offered by private insurance companies through group plans at your work, if they are available.
You should consider a company that offers a "group insurance plan" as offering additional incentive and added benefit to working there. Keep in mind that MOST Canadian companies of 50 or more employees offer these plans, so it is not something exclusive. And some plans are better than others, such as covering 100% of medical expenses with a small deductible, instead of only 50-80% and a larger annual deductible per family member.
