Job Search New

Mildred Said:

When in the newer economy would you start a new job search w/ new degree?

We Answered:

Well in advance! 6-months til a year before you get a degree. Practically no one is hiring, and the ones that are don't want to pay anything. As a recent graduate (August), I'm pleased to say that I've received two job offers thus far. Unfortunately, neither worked out for me (pay was well below what I should be making with a degree for one, and the other one, my driving record wasn't acceptable although there was no certainty that I'd need to drive anywhere--too many speeding tickets!). So I'm still looking and it's tough out here. The biggest problem is that a lot of companies are laying off employees, so of course they aren't looking for new ones. So, if you're still in school, it's best to start your job search well in advance for the best opportunities. Good luck!

Leona Said:

What is the best way to promote or market/advertise a new job search website.?

We Answered:

1. Create the best content you can. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends.

3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area.

4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website.

6. Measure the ROI carefully of your banner or pay per click campaigns

7. Measure your conversion carefully. Bringing traffic is one thing; making them actually use your services is another. Check if your site encourages trust in the visitors and ways you can increase conversion

Matthew Said:

What should i do search new job or do marriage and let life go?

We Answered:

Dude , when there is already recession in market , you should not leave the current job and join any other company , because companies are removing those who are new in the organisation and not the old ones.

About marriage , you will get married when it is written to happen to you. So just let the life go as it comes.

Discuss It!
