How can I get a job with State Farm claims? We Answered:
Call over to your claims department. See if you can talk to an adjuster there. If you have an adjuster that you deal with on a regular basis and have a good relationship....start there. Mbrcrtz is right....starting with an adjuster you have contact with is a great way to go.I will say....claims is not for everyone.
I enjoy being an adjuster. I like the mental challenge. I like the variety. You are never board. Just when you think you've seen it all....something comes up you never expected.
But it's also high stress.
And there is turn over. Some folks get into and just realize....claims is not for them.
But for me...it's a pretty good living. And we do get folks come over from the Agency side of things.
If you give claims a try and like it....great! I may just be the kind of challenge you are looking for. But if you come over to claims and it does not work out.....you'll take some really great experience with you if you go back over to the agency side of things. Agents that have a good understanding of how claims work....make really great agents. And lots of former agents...have really strong customer service skills so they make great adjusters.
Although from a Claims vs. Agent prospective....you couldn't pay me enough to be an agent!

I am wanting to relocate from Sdyney Australia to San Antonio with my children and need help to find a job?We Answered:
While I am not an employer, I can offer you this, web based job search engines such as Monster.com would be one place to look. Try contacting the various insurance companies that have offices in San Antonio. That is just a beginning, seek out the hiring agency's that hire managers. You never know, you may just qualify. For that green card, go to the US Embassy in Australia, and, contact an immigration lawyer here in the states. I would also recommend that foreigner though you may be, seeking work in a government position should not be out of the question for you. The government uses people who have your training in dealing with insurance issues all of the time. A major Air Force personnel office is at Randolph Air Force Base in eastern San Antonio, I am sure that they use people with your training. Look up USA.gov for one place to look for jobs, do a search for the USAF at Randolph for the Air Force, I don't remember the site for the Navy, but it can be found on the net, and CPOL is the site for the Army. Go for it, and in advance, welcome to America.Dolores Said:
Can a high school find a good job with the city,San Antonio, if so how?We Answered:
It's not always crystal clear how to start searching for a job, I was in a bit of a hole for the last month when I was job seeking, until I found the website in the box below that gives sensible instruction. I soon got myself going down the correct path, and in a few weeks after a couple of interviews I got myself a really great job.Barbara Said:
