Asking a human resource contact to help find a job at a different office?

We Answered:

Just ask! Give her a call and let her know that you're heading to San Fran... Mention that you understand they have an office there, and "is she the HR rep for that office as well? No? Who would you recommend I speak with there, as I'm still interested in working for your agency. Do you know of anything available in San Fran? Thanks so much for all of your help, and I'll let you know how everything goes!"

Make sense? Good luck!

What are some unconventional jobs the do not require college in big cities?

We Answered:

I do this all from my home computer. I set my own hours. I do have a degree, but found the 9-5 to be a bore. This is so much more fun and profitable.

You owe it to yourself to give this a thorough look.

Anyone have tips on how to survive in San Francisco area on a $35K salary?

We Answered:

Checkout Craigslist. Under housing, check the box for dogs. Enter in the highest you are willing to pay (some include or exclude utilities) and then check the neighborhoods closest to your work.
There are a couple presently posted, but that can change at any time.

BTW: Congrats on finding a job; a dream job no less. There are a lot of people and events in this area supporting Green endeavors.
