Ok I need some help with finding job search places online so far I am using the following things? We Answered:
I believe I have some good suggestions for you.Try http://www.usajobs.com, which is a site for all federal gov't jobs. Also look into your state and local gov't sites.
the site http://www.indeed.com is a site with nearly every legit listing available, including those on Monster and others. You can search on it like you'd do Google searches.
Personally I think Monster is a waste of time. It does a poor job of filtering results and it's full of bogus listings. I'm not so crazy about careerbuilder.com either, but it's okay if you like it. I'm not familiar with backpage or jobing.com. Be careful with Craigslist, as it does have some legit listings, but a lot of scammers too.
A final suggestion is that you get a separate email address only for job applications. It should be professional or neutral in nature. Also, it can be very helpful if you can get a free voice mail phone number through GrandCentral. This will give you some protection from scammers.
