Wilma Said:

Is Italian useful in Switzerland, outside Ticino?

We Answered:

It wouldn't hurt, at least in Zurich. Zurich has thousands of Italian speakers, many of whom barely speak German. Most are Italians, not Ticinese. It depends on the job though, in my experience the business world doesn't use Italian much (but that could be just my experience), but if you're doing something like sales to individuals, definitely go for it.

Have any Americans gotten a job at a Swiss or French ski resort? I badly need advice or assistant on how!?

We Answered:

If you find out some information, then let me know; please. I'd love to take this winter and instruct somewhere in the Alps. (I'm in NY and would love to rip the Alps),

Thanks,

Jay

Can you find a job in Lugano, Switzerland, if you do not speak italian?

We Answered:

It might be perfectly possible to find a job, however, you didn't mention your nationality. The whole matter gets much more difficult if you are non EU. Also, if I remember correctly, students are only allowed to work for 15 hours/week. But there are quite a few banks in that area.

Peggy Said:

Why is Steve Jobs going to Switzerland if the health care in the US is so great?

We Answered:

The article tells you why.

"it is the home for the world-renowned University Hospital of Basel, which has developed a special form of hormone-delivered radiotherapy to treat neuroendocrine cancer. The treatment isn't available in the U.S."

Imagine that a part of the world that has different treatments and areas of expertise than others.
