Job Search Website

Charles Said:

Does anyone know of a job search website that matches people to jobs based on skills?

We Answered:

There's a new website called Itzbig.com that is supposed to work like the datings sites, in that it tries to match as many skills/qualifications from the applicant and the company.

I don't think it's available nationwide, but it's worth a try.

Make sure you answer the questions to the best of your ability. It will give you a percentage of how well you meet the requirements of the job.

Debbie Said:

Does anyone know what is a good online resume service ? And Does someone know of a good job search website?

We Answered:

There are a lot of good online resume services. One I think is excellent is SusanIreland.com. She's written several books on the subject of resumes and cover letters, and she has free samples on her Web site.

Start identifying employers where you might want to work now. The job search websites listed below will help you get acquainted with what's out there now, so you can be prepared when you move.

Job search websites:

These are some excellent starting points for jobs in the U.S.

* Indeed.com - http://www.indeed.com

Indeed is an "aggregator" which means it collects jobs from job sites (like Monster and CareerBuilder) as well as from employers, news papers, etc., so you go to one central place to search for the jobs.

Do a search on the kind of job you want and the city or city and state. Indeed will give you an idea of who is hiring right now and connect you with more jobs that you would find on Monster or CareerBuilder by themselves.

* Craigslist.org - http://www.craigslist.org/

Craigslist is a giant online classifieds site, broken up by location (see the locations listed on the right side of the home page).

Craig's List has both "jobs" and "gigs" (project assignments). The jobs are posted in reverse chronological order (newest at the top, oldest at the bottom), so you have to keep visiting or sign up for an RSS feed. Also check the "gigs" for short-term and part-time jobs.

Craigslist is often used by smaller companies because it's cheaper than Monster, et al. Criagslist ads are not usually collected by aggregators like Indeed.com.

Because posting is so often free, you need to be a little careful using Craig's List. For some tips, see Using Craigslist to Find a job - http://www.job-hunt.org/onlinejobsearchg…

* Job-Hunt.org - http://www.job-hunt.org/jobs/states.shtm…

There are over 8,200 links to employers (including all of the Fortune 500 employers, by state, on 1 page) and job search resources on Job-Hunt, including over 6,300 organized by state - online classifieds from local newspapers as well as links to the various local Craigslist sites, state and local government jobs, colleges and universities, the state Employment Office, and many other employers.

Job-Hunt will show you other places to find jobs (local classified ads, etc.) and it will also give you some employers who may not be listing jobs on Indeed or Craigslist but who may have jobs open, too.

Be sure to check out the job search networking sites where you can make connections with employers and other job seekers, usually for free or very low cost.

Job search website for environmental science?

We Answered:

Long ago I searched for the environmental science jobs web sites. Finally I found the best website to find environmental science jobs. That is,

http://www.gogglejob.com

It all depend on your qualifications and what kind of environmental science job you are seeking. But lots of jobs are there that you will be amazed.

These are the reasons that I suggest www.gogglejob.com is the best website to find jobs.

1. It is totally free to find jobs.
2. You don't need to register.
3. You don't need to enter your personnel information to find the jobs.
4. You don't need to answer for boring questionnaire.
5. It is very easy to use.
6. All jobs vacancies are classified very logically in there and you just need to hit your interesting job.
7. It automatically detect your area and will be given jobs from your area or for online jobs it will find the most suitable job..
8. According to my personal experience, it is very reliable and accurate and send the feedback to very quickly and amazingly.

So isn't that interesting. I also found my job (that is one of website's comment approving) from that web site. Just go and check yourself for the success;

Please note that almost all the answers except this, are spams as they didn't say the reasons for their suggestions

Julia Said:

Which job search website sends job openings via e-mail when they become open..?

We Answered:

Try Indeed at www.indeed.com

Indeed is a job search engine, so you get all jobs in one place rather than having to try these different sources individually.

And their "Job Alert" emails are great! Every morning you get an alert when a new job is available matching your criteria no matter where the job was originally posted (career builder, monster, hot jobs, anywhere!). Good luck finding your new job!

Why did the Jobcentre job search website change?

We Answered:

There used to be two searches to look through the job centre database. The direct.gov page, and the jobcentre page. They both searched the same database, and there were only a few minor differences in the actual methods of searching.

I guess they decided there wasn't much point having two separate job search websites that searched through the same jobs, so they just went with the direct.gov one.

Joan Said:
