Job Searches Online
Stephen Said:
Online Job Searches and Resume submission, Do they work?We Answered:
It is hit and miss really. It is not unusal for employers to receive 100s and 1000s of applications to online job postings.Yes, I have applied online and have been interviewed. Got a job once from this. Most of the time I go on these sites and can hardly find suitable jobs.
These sites have become a con now because they do not delete old job postings. They brag about having 10,000 jobs online, but a large portion of them have expired.
I would start connecting with companies more directly. These job search sites are becoming an employer's last choice in posting jobs. They have to pay to post jobs and with cut-backs, many companies are rationalizing this and deciding not to go online to these sites. They can simply post jobs on their own websites. Check out the companies' own websites.

Are there any great and helpful online job searches? We Answered:
I've tried lots of different things to earn money from home. None of them were scams, but the majority of them didn't earn the kind of money I would have liked to be earning. Eventually, I found a home based business that didn't cost money to get started with. It's been the best thing for my family and I love what I'm doing now.Mildred Said:
Any tips on making my resume "pop" on online job searches? We Answered:
I would make sure you have your name in all caps and in a noticable font, but not too big. Also, you should make your objective clear to employers that wanna hire you so that you can answer this question at a possible interview.Isaac Said:
Has anyone ever found a job online? Are you now employed at a position that u searched for, on the internet? We Answered:
Yes, and yes. I found many of my jobs online and I am employed to the position that I have found online. However, don't limit your job search by online only. Go everywhere you can. This is not a time to loose any opportunity, on line or off line.
Rick Said:
Are the online job searches any good for finding employment? We Answered:
Local paper, monster.com, yahoo jobs. Most any temp agency will help you more than just sending out resumes. They can help shape you and ready you for the interview - and you don't pay anything.
