Ricky Said:
Is it right that the jobcentre wants to force me to leave college? We Answered:
If you are on a course and are offered a start date for a job, the JobCentre will have no objections to you taking the job. Maybe they are putting you on this course for a reality check or have you made it clear to them what is happening. Never think for one minute that with any Government agency the left hand tells the right hand what is happening.Angel Said:
Do you think that this is my case and thats what will happen to me?We Answered:
You have missed the point. These allowances are paid on condition that you prove you are seeking and available for work.In your case you have failed the conditions. Why should you get any benefits at all if you do not want to work. That is what they will say and I agree with them.Very soon all the allowances will be withdrawn and turn down 3 offers of work and you will not get a penny.I just do not understand why you did not ring the Job Centre and tell them you had a dentists appointment or you were suffering as a result of dental treatment. You would have had to supply proof but that should not have been a problem.Do you think a employer would put up with late attendance without good reason.No.Well in your case the Job Centre is your employer.Brad Said:

pressure to leave access course from jobcentre plus?We Answered:
You cannot be 'forced' into a job unless you are offered it in the first place! To keep the advisers happy, and they look at numbers of jobs applied for, just apply for anything that there is even the faintest chance you could do. Mostly you wont get an interview but you have a copy of the applications on record. if you do get an interview for an unsuitable job - which is not likely as employers can pick and choose at present - if you are not at your best when interviewed you won't get the job. Advisers can be as thick as planks at times, i have a friend who has severe hearing loss in both ears and who finds even an amplified phone very difficult to use - which seems not to have sunk in to his adviser who keeps coming up with call centre jobs he should apply for.Tara Said:
