Kentucky Job Search

Jesse Said:

How do I find a job in another state before I move there?

We Answered:

Kentucky? heaven's why??? OK, OK...let us move on.

I just moved from NY to Boston. It was tricky but I think I got lucky. I had a good job in NY but was ready to go (for my own reasons) and looked for jobs before I went (how would I live otherwise?). I got responses for intereviews and had to make several trips to Boston but while I was there for one interview, another called me, so I was able to do 2 or 3 each time I went - dumb luck I guess? You can use your cover letter to explain that you are moving to Kentucky because you like the smell of horses or whatever :-) Seriously though, keep that part short - a sentence or two is sufficient and no need to get into anything personal, just that circustances are such that you are moving.

Usually, if you are from out of state and they are considering you, they will do a phone interview first to make sure you can at least speak well and to find out if you are worth bringing in. Sometimes it is just with a recriter and others with the hiring manager. If you get the hiring manager, this is the time to shine. Make good impression and talk about your profession. If you do that, then the face to face interview is only to see if you drool or not - if not, you got the offer.

I would absolutely try to get some offers or at least begin to try. Best of luck.

kentucky is in search for yet another Men's Basketball coach,?

We Answered:

Kentucky was stupid enough to hire him in the first place.
If they knew they were going to fire him two years later.
He is a good coach but i think Kentucky has high expectations (too high to be exact) and he couldn't handle the expectations that they had for him.

A good coach for him would be John Calaparli because he's been to a championship and has been to the tourmanet more than once in the tourmanet. And he handles the media better than Gilespie did win or lose.
So that's my pick to coach Kentucky.
