Deanna Said:

is there any english recruitment sites to recommend to look for job in taiwan?

We Answered:

Most jobs OTHER than being an ESL Teacher would require you to know Mandarin Chinese. Thus, the website for those jobs are in Chinese.

If you have a skill set that allows you to apply for jobs in Taiwan offered by a foreign-based company, then I recommend you use standard search engines such as Monster.com, etc.. But, even many of those jobs would ask that you know some Chinese, too.

What are some good wedsites for job searches?

We Answered:

Create a job alert on: www.indeed.com it pulls jobs from over 300+ websites including employers, the job boards, industry sites, professional organizations, etc.

The search function is very good if you narrow down your key words/industry buzz words. You can also set geographic area from 10 to 100 miles.

What are some good web sites for military retirees to use for job searches?

We Answered:

First off, Congratulations! I retired in '05. It depends on what you're looking for. Not knowing what your rating is, I could be more specific. My background was technical (ET), so there are some sites that I know of that cater to that area. There are a couple of head-hunting agencies to place veterans. Bradley-Morris Inc., Orion International are a couple of the biggest.

From my personal experience, I went into the private sector after I retired and regretted it. I worked as a field service technician for three and half years before the company made cutbacks due to the economy. I was unemployed for nearly 4 months before I went into the defense contractor side and have no regrets now. My best piece of advice? Become a contractor or get a government job. Private sector sucks.
