How can i find a job vacancy advert in a local newspaper in april 2005?

We Answered:

If you go to your towns 'ic' site or 'this is' site they normally have links to local papers and you can search the back issues online.

e.g. www.icbirmingham.co.uk or www.thisisredditch.co.uk

Right I'm going to my local River Island Clothing store and I'm applying for a job as they have vacancies...?

We Answered:

If you can, print out a copy of your application and take it with you, that way you can give the manager a copy in case it hasn't come through electronically. Tell the manager, that you are particularly interested in weekend work but be sure they know you are available during the week as well and that you are in college. They are going to be more interested in a person who is flexible. Be sure to dress neatly and appropriately. If you can, wear at least one piece from their retail line.
