how can i search for local jobs in dog waking? We Answered:
Hello! As A Fellow Tess (my name is teresa) let me give it to you straight!!I AM a dog/pet sitter and the best way to get yourself involved is to find a reputable company in your area. Preferably one that is LISCENED as well as bonded and/or listed with the better business beauru. I KNOW!! I KNOW!! that sure does sound like a lot just to walk someone's dog for them, butr think about it, The whole reason your doing it is because the owners are either not home at that time of day or they need someone when they are away from home.
Not only are they intrusting you with one (or more!)of their beloved family members, but allowing you access to their homes when they are not in them! It is a very tricky situation for most clients to come to grips with and they are hesitant to "just pick someone" from the craigslist!!
Who can blame them!! Who are these people?? What will they be doing with Fluffy when they come over? Do they really care for animals??
I think your best bet is to do a search thru your search engine for "petsitters" and then review each of them. Find out if they are an individual (do they want a partner?) or a company (are they looking for more reps?) and what their credentials and experience are/is.
Speaking from my end, My company is Guardian Pet Sitting, and the owner is a former vet tech, she runs a liscenced, bonded and insured company, is listed with the better business bureau and most of her reps(she has 15 in five years) are vet techs or from the pet retail industry. We all love animals and take the upmost care of our charges, and the charge to the clients is rather minimal, so you should consider that as well. You certainly won't get rich quick but you will have a whole lot of fun and more animal friends to play with!!! To me that is worth it's weight in GOLD!!! Major stress reliever!!
So good luck!! And remember, most cities do not charge a whole lot to get a business liscense~ and you don't HAVE to be bonded or insured!! (just a good way to cover your assets!!)

does anyone know the best site to search for local jobs around your area ?We Answered:
Go to Craigslist.orgLook for the state &/or city you're in on the right hand side
Then a new page will show with only Craigslist listings in your area,
Then you'll see a list of jobs & you can go from there!
Have fun! =)

Need employers to post jobs on a job search site. How?We Answered:
You need to sell them on what you are offering. First, are you charging the employers to post the help wanted ads? If so, then you need to have a base of available employees already established. Also, if you are planning on making a profit, then you need a business plan and you need to be willing to put money into the venture - given all the alternatives on the internet (Monster, Careerbuilder) that draw from a national audience, you need to show professionalism and avoid the "too expensive" mentality. If this is a community board that is free for employers and employees, sell it that way - as the employer putting something back into the community by reaching out to local members of the community to fill jobs. Flyers are a good start, but touching base by phone would be even better - explain who you are, what you are doing, the benefits (community, etc.), and make it easy for employers to post available jobs.. Check with the local community college and work with the career center. Make it easy for people to post resumes.
