Everything transferred to your computer counts. Videos will use up the most of your capacity. For web stuff, the best way to tell is to actually measure. If you use Firefox, FirefoxThrottle will tell you. Just download and install it from my link. Then right-click on the speed gauge on the bottom right and click "Show traffic counters". You will then see traffic indicators on the bottom right.

1,024KB is 1 MB. 1,024MB is 1 GB. The number on the left is the total downloaded for that session. On the right is the total uploaded for that session.
