Jesse Said:

Is it appropriate to call hiring managers directly when cold calling for a job search?

We Answered:

It's OK to call Hiring Managers directly. Just be considerate of their time. It may be a very brief call and you end up asking if you may send your resume. Then get their email or physical address. I'd call during the week, not on the weekend. Call during their normal business hours. Afterall, it is a business call. Good luck

Eleanor Said:

How many years of work experience do you need before you can find a decent-paying job out-of-town?

We Answered:

It really depends on what you do. For instance, if you were in the medical field, like nursing or occupational therapy, you shouldn't have a problem. The same would probably apply for a teaching degree. But if you were in certain business or financial fields, it may be more difficult for you.

Nelson Said:

Is Winfield Park Residential Subdivision in Nashville, TN a good upscale neighborhood? ?

We Answered:

I Googled it and it seems to be a neighborhood on the border of Brentwood and Nashville- with a Brentwood address (which is a good thing). It isn't too close to all the cities amenities, but you can get to almost anything within about 20 minutes (except during rush hour). There are MANY great upscale neighborhoods in and around Nashville, but if you have your heart set on something brand new or close- and kind of cookie cutter- then this seems like a very nice neighborhood. I prefer something a little more "Tennessee"- larger lot with lots of grass and trees and a brick home with a little character. We moved here 7 years ago after vacationing here and LOVE it! We live in Hendersonville- north of the city- but commute everyday for work. We have 2250 sq ft and 2 complete living spaces for my large family, on 3/4 acre of rolling hills in a quiet neighborhood of brick homes- I paid well under $200K, by driving a few extra minutes- and H'ville has tons of wonderful new amenities to lure new residents. Anyway, I know you'll love TN- it's the best area ever (and I'm from SF!) Good Luck!

Elsie Said:

I am moving & began a job search in Nashville, TN. I currently earn 54k. How long would it normally take?

We Answered:

I have not had experience with this, but thought I would write anyway. I find myself in a similar circumstance and I think it's very difficult to find a job without living in the area where you want to work. I think you will have much better luck being in Nashville, even though you will not be working. I think it's easier to find another job WHERE YOU LIVE while you are working, but more difficult to find one in another town.

It might be good for you to start looking at non-profits, school districts, manufacturing facilities, etc that might be in need of an accountant.

Willard Said:

Is there any places hiring in Nashville,Tennessee?

We Answered:

You would need a work permit probably and can be found at your local school board of education and or job career centers.
