New Mexico Job Search

Tim Said:

Job Search? (New Mexico)?

We Answered:

You might check on craigslist (and you can post a resume/work wanted - just don't put too much personal info there)

You can also post in some grocery stores or senior centers. Folks might need help with babysitting, lawn work, or other odd jobs.

Also, talk to your HS - especially if they have a career center. Often they will know what companies might hire a young go-getter like you!

Best of luck!

Does the unemployment office know if you really are doing job searches each week?

We Answered:

I live in GA, not sure aboutthere if it's different. But my mom had unemployment for a while and she had to show proof that she had been applying.

Judy Said:

Can anyone suggest gud job search engine in GIS feild?

We Answered:

One of my professors recommended:
http://giscareers.com/
I found this also that has a list of companies, and a long list of job sources:
http://www.gisjobs.com/resources.html

The field is in high demand, so you should be able to pick the type of job you want to do. Good luck.
