i got fired from a new york city agency, is it true i can never get hired by another new york city agency? We Answered:
You're right, you were fired for cause despite your "best worker there is" assertion. If that was the case you'd still be working there. The city of NY will not hire you for any job now.

Where should i stay in new york city.?We Answered:
Finding apartments that are affordable near your workplace is not to say impossible, but difficult. Especially if your looking for something cheap and safe. Sorry but I have to correct you. Times Square is located in Midtown. When you say downtown, we're talking about Wall Street/Battery Park.If your looking to get a nice studio in the city around Midtown East/Murray Hill/Hell's Kitchen, your looking at $1500 plus one month's rent and one security deposit. Some places require you have the first and last months rent in addition to a security deposit. Your going to be looking at having to fork over at least $6000 to move in. Brooklyn's price can run as high as the city (Manhattan), but the housing there is amazing. Carroll's Garden, Park Slope, Cobble Hill are all amazing places but rent is high. If your looking for a room-mate, exchange an e-mail with the person before hand. Don't give out any personal information and they shouldn't expect to see a credit report or anything. From personal experience, I met a great couple who were renting out a huge room with a private bath in their apartment on the UWS. The room and bath would have cost me at least $4000 on my own, but they were offering it for $1200 in addition to one month's security to move in. Too bad I took my time deciding cause the place was snapped up. Just beware of places that are too GOOD TO BE TRUE, they ARE. Lucky for me my sister lives on the UES.
Check out nofeeapartments and citihabitats website.
Side note, visit NYC for the weekend and walk around Midtown East and the various neighborhoods. The available apartments for rent will have signs posted on the building. It's better to know where your going to live than to blindly jump into things. Not mention you want to know the neighborhood and how your going to commute to work. Don't plan on having a car unless you plan on paying for parking, additional $500 a month. Personally I prefer living in the city because I spend my time here. Plus I don't have far to commute.

job of interior designer in jersey city, new york.?We Answered:
Craigslist, monster.com, hotjobs, local newspaper and employment agencies might be a good start. You can also look in yellow pages for the companies of your interest and contact them.Leslie Said:
Looking for a semester PART-TIME chemical engineering or science INTERNSHIP in New York City! Any help?We Answered:
1. Speak with the head of the chemical engineering and science departments at your school. Tell them of your interest in research opportunities, and ask if any are available. You won't know unless you ask!2. Rather than a job search engine, here is what I did: Try to find out what companies in your area employ chemical engineers. Then go directly to their website and apply. Maybe take a ride around NYC and write down companies that you think would be interesting. Then make up a resume and apply for an internship, if they have one. If not, speak with an HR representative. Maybe they can accomodate you!
Good luck.
