Job Searches?

We Answered:

I would definitely check out the local dept. of workforce services (usually a state entity). Craigslist will also have listings, and depending on your desired field, you can find profession-specific sites.

I would also definitely check out indeed.com. They compile postings from a lot of different sites in one place.

call a realtor and pretend to be a renter looking for a townhome there and ask what the going rates for rent are.

Do you ever feel like your married friends think they have life all figured out?

We Answered:

Your question is as about as scattered brain as your life seems to be.

Friends will always have advice. That's what friends do, it doesn't matter if they are married or not.
A friend is always going to want the best for you as well.

All you need to do Hon is take the advice and do with it as you see fit. No reason to stress over it.
You have your way and they have theirs, enough said on that point.

If you are confident as you should be in finding another job, you will. Attitude is everything. YOU HAVE A HOME! That is the key point. Doesn't matter if that home is in the heart of the ghetto jungle as long as you are happy and content.

Deep breath, release, relax. All is well in your world! Always wise to listen to friends advice be it good, bad or ugly, but ultimately it is all in your court as what you do or don't do. If they are getting on your nerves TELL them so! Say: "Give it a rest would ya! I heard ya the first time! I thank you for your concern and words of wisdom, but I am happy where and how I live." Hopefully they will respect you and not be so quick to offer every little bit of advice they have.

Best of wishes on the job hunt!

moving from NH to WS looking for ideas?

We Answered:

Don't hate, but go to citydata.com. If you head to the Seattle section in the Washington group there are a lot of people that can help you. Just be specific and clear.
