Part Time Jobs In Birmingham

Brent Said:

Question for people who live in birmingham uk?

We Answered:

Have you tried the supermarkets and hotels?
My daughter and her friend got jobs in one of the hotels in the centre of Brum just by walking in and asking. Daughter was offered a waitressing job and her friend a secretarial one.

Ramon Said:

pls guide me abt getting a part time job in da UK?

We Answered:

You just have to do what everyone else in the UK who wants work has to do.

Apply for jobs. Go to the local jobcentre. Look in the local paper. Post your CV on Fish 4 Jobs. Write speculative letters to employers in your area enclosing a CV. There are part time jobs out there but there is a lot of competition for them and the Jobs are not going to come to you. You have to look for them.

As for your baby, join the club! All of us with children struggle to cope with childcare. Either work when your husband is not at work so he can look after her or leave her with a childminder or a day nursery (both of which can be expensive so you'll need a good salary or you'll be left with nothing from your wages after paying for childcare).

Does anybody know of any job vacancies in birmingham?

We Answered:

I live in the west midlands area, if you're just looking for weekend and part-time work, it used to be the case that gumtree birmingham was a good place to look, but im not so sure because the gumtree website has gone abit downhill just lately.
I dont think you'll find anyone on here that knows of any vacancies,
but you could always try asking around the city centre, you might get lucky, bars and resturants are likely to be looking for part-time evening staff.

im 16 and looking for a part time job...what are the best possible places to give my CV Into? 10 points to giv?

We Answered:

In the US the fast food are the best bets to get employed, especially if you are willing to work Sundays and odd hours. With the bad economy, you can expect retailers to cut back after the holidays.

If you get the experience now, in a year or so when you are 17-18 you can probably get a better job at a local restaurant with tips and then work into a great fancy restaurant with great tips.

Good luck, the job situation is not a good one right now.

Meanwhile, keep studying and work toward that education. Eventually that is what will pay off and not the low paying McDonalds job.

Good luck

When Your In Uni...Should You Also Get A Part Time Job?

We Answered:

I personally think it's best to just concentrate on your education. Or you could look for a job that dosn't take up much hours and you still get deastant paid.. It might not be much -- but atleats you can buy things to eat and clothe you.

Birmingham and London are really good places so make sure you work your sweat of in College so you can go to one of them... lol =]
I'm sure you'll get advised on which Uni is best for you /// but what I can tell you is that both Uni's that you want to go too, only strive for excellence.

Be excellent at whatever your doing.
If you study in Birmingham you'd probably have to move to London in the end to get the dream job.. so i'm not really sure on that one..

I don't know about the stars myself. Sorry

xx Good Luck xx

Cecil Said:

im a teenager look for a job in finance, Birmingham,UK, i would like to got into can anyone help thanks?

We Answered:

That depends if you want to start off working as a teller, which is pretty easy. Just walk in and ask if there are any openings. It may be a bit tough seeing as you still have to study in college (post-secondary education).

Finance encompasses many things. If you're talking about investment banking, you will need a quantitative background from a top university, solid academics, and a track record of on-campus leadership.

If you're really hungry for exposure, I have a friend hiring investment research consultants. It was a great experience working with his firm. Keep me posted, otherwise focus on your books and concentrate on making good contacts.
