Arnold Said:

Is it worth ringing or going up to recruitment agencies to help me with job hunting?

We Answered:

Use all the resources you have available to you. So go ahead and interview with several recruitment and temp agencies.

I have found many jobs and gotten many interviews through them. But it's a numbers game. Most of them weren't able help me at all while a a few has done more than enough for me. So join as many as you can.

But still do your own searching. You can't depend only on them. Some might even seek you out if you keep your resume up to date on the job sites.

We Answered:

Newspaper ads are often a good source of leads. Many companies still list jobs in local newspapers.

Barbara Said:

I am new to job searching and wondering what does this job advert mean? xxx position in Tiger Recruitment?.?

We Answered:

Although, the recent answers are good they are not consistent. First, make sure the site you are searching from is genuine. Current events in online recruitment yield to fraud or scam artists. They will post an employment offer that would be seemingly fit you for the position. Just because you applied and received an answer doesn't necessarily mean that someone has answered you. The reply is usually computer generated to answer candidates from applying. The most recent scam involved the application for the position in which you answer a few informative questions and follow a link which leads you to a questionnaire of 40 some odd questions involving applied skills. Followed by another page of questions but this time at mid-page a link with a message that states in order to prepare yourself for the mini interview process prior to finishing the questionnaire you'll need to have a current credit report to present to the person that will be interviewing you for the position. The link indicates they worked out a deal with an agency for free credit reports by going on the link. The link takes you to a dummy shift website of creditreport.com and if you proceed by entering, you lose!
If you were some of the lucky ones to have not chosen to attain a credit report and tried to continue with the questionnaire by answering the final question and submit, you'll end up freezing the site. It leads nowhere. If you're smart before entering the dummy website, you'll see at the bottom of the make-shift site an emblem that represents the BBB, press on it and it will take you to a BBB site. It takes you that further in cause their amongst you are clever people that do their research and are temporary sleuths or online detectives and spammers are aware of this. So, if you just stop at that site just to return and chance your luck, you too will fall victim. Go as far as you may or just quit, but if you were like me and continued the journey at the end of the tunnel, you will have successfully reached all the mis-unfortunates that got scammed as you enter the BBB website' consumer spammer complaint and pick from any of the links. Those who got scammed to venture to a free credit report had been duked the representative will indicate to you that although the report is free, their is a service fee ranging from $2 - $10 depending geographic location and will swear or promise that it is a one-time transaction with debit or credit card. People have purchased but have yet to receive their credit report, they succumb to double or multi billing issues. It gets worse when finally realized they will call the site requesting reimbursement, only thing, the reps are obliged to respond but you will need an account# in order to cancel your subscription and reps are reluctant to offer any other information for a resolution. People wait months to get this resolved due to using debit card that's linked to your bank account. The matter to cancel your debit card to attain another card is another problem entirely.
To become aware of the validity of the job offer, have steps to take, before applying. Copy the job offer and google it. Or copy the site and google, 9 out of 10 you'll find the job offer was a scam all along. Scammers are very analytical and up on their current events. As we are slowly moving away from post-recession this gives way to scammers that post job offers that seem to good to be true for no amount of experience to a high paying job delegating responsibility while you sit a huge percentage of the time. Too good to be true? It is. At least this method you won't be a statistic

Jennie Said:

As a company, which website is best to post my recruitment advertizement?

We Answered:

I would check out your local job search sites. Those are generally the best, but Monster is pretty good as well and can get you a fair amount of responses.
