Temp Job Search

Dolores Said:

How do you finally get a permanent job after having done only temp jobs?

We Answered:

Hi,
First you have to change your attitude. It doesn't mean that because you are quiet and shy you can't do the job. You have to believe in your abilities and skills and get to look for a job that is suitable for you. If you can't work with difficult people don't apply to be a Customer service rep., for instance. Just stop and think what kind of job you will really enjoy and start looking for a job in that direction.

Edwin Said:

I recently got a temp job and am still looking for full-time positions.?

We Answered:

If the position you have now is a temp job then the employer should be aware that you are also looking for permanent employment. You could ask for an afternoon off (without pay) and organize as many interviews as possible for that afternoon. If the employer will not respond well to this then take a day's leave and organize your interviews for that day.

What else can i Do to Look for a job Besides Internet Search, or Temp Agencies?

We Answered:

Yeah that's rough..as of February 12th I was laid off and just a week later I got hired for a job. The way I did it...is through www.monster.com . I really wasn't sure if it would do me any good but out of 4 views of my profile I got 2 phone calls..and one resulted in a job. You go and register on there and fill out all the different categories for your profile and it'll let you post as many different resumes as you like. It will show you how many people have viewed your resume. I'm in banking too..so you'd think with all the stuff going on right now with banks that I would be out of a job for a while but nope! I gotta give the credit to monster.com too! So good luck! Oh p.s. another good one I've heard that's worked for people is www.careerbuilder.com
