It's pretty difficult to find a specific job placement while still in school. Your classed as a minor so many companies are put off to have placements in their company in case of accidents, and some high end work places don't allow it until a certain age or course (GP's, some hospital wards, etc...).

As for myself, I am in Year 12 and in Year 10 I wanted to work within a Chemist, however, they did not insure a minor in case of accidents at work, so therefore I was rejected. Companies and work places need specific licenses and insurance which most are reluctant to.

If my opinion, for a business related ambition, go to a local computing office or a local business. A friend of mine went to a computing business, and he came out with £200, a free laptop and offered a placement of work when he left school.

I went to a primary school myself, which was alright. I learnt health and safety skills working with kids and developed social skills and attitudes towards children.

Personally, work experience isn't all to hard or VERY important. Once you enter Year 12 in college/Sixth Form, around February time you get to go on a real work experience (going to work for a week in a Pharmacy).

Go to a temp agency, yeah it's getting by for a while but they always have great connections with good business' which always lead to perm well paid jobs will good careers !

That depends on what type of job you will have at the magazine company. Will you be the person in charge of writing the stories, the editor, the photographer, the make-up artist, the interviewer, the professional shopper, etc. As you can see, there are many different positions responsible for making a magazine.

Sometimes there are jobs that will train people for a career . A good place to start is to find out what this person is good at doing. A people person can fit in to many categories . If they are more into fixing things , there is many places that will train for an apprentice job .

Your state runs a job center for just that kind of reference in helping people get jobs. They have to usually register with them, and they will help with finding job leads and other things that are available for those people that qualify for them.
