You are worrying too much, they shouldn't expect you to have too much dental knowledge, you haven't started school yet. When i had my interview, I gave answers to them about cheating that were likely unethical, talked about how dentistry is more about having your patients like you than doing excellent work, etc. Probably not the right answers, but I gave them confidently and honestly, and they appreciate that. They can tell when you are regurgitating BS answers. The interview is more to see that you can talk to someone and aren't a complete social dud. That's all they want to see.

i live in london and my friend @ skl had to apply to about 5 dentistrys for work experience, 3 didnt bother to reply, 1 replied and said no and 1 replied and said yes.
i think its very hard to get Work experience from them

its never to late, go to your nearest dentistry and explain, what you want to do as for your career, and say that you would be delighted if you went there for work experience, even if it for one day, and tell them how useful it would be

Work experience is certainly a help to get into any Uni course. Most people I see organised the W.E. through their school in 4th or 5th year.

You could try writing to local dentists and VOLOUNTEERING to assist in their practice for about 2 weeks, then that should give you a leg-up to get going?

I am not aware of any H&S issues that restrict it, and they could ask you to sign a "Non-disclosure" form.
