1902 Lee Enfield rifle?

We Answered:

I am something of a collector of military bolt action rifles with 6 vintage rifles. Sadly, I did not find an Enfield that I thought in good enough condition to purchase yet, but I have some sources for you below.

I am not sure of your goal here. If you are looking to preserve this rifle as a collector item, then the process might be a bit different than making a shooter out of the rifle. I have used the paint stripper for the stock and degreaser method for all metal parts on K-98 Mauser, 91/30 Mosin Nagant and 1903 Springfield to very good effect.

The markings were not softened and the rifle kept a very dark patina which is not truly original for most of these weapons. I was able to steam minor dents out of the stock during this process.

I have been reading quite a bit about the dishwasher method of late via some Mauser sites. Now that the wife has departed this location, I will do that for a Mosin and another Mauser that I want to get to the lighter "As Issued" color.

If nothing else, the mouse guns and surplus rifle guys have some worthwhile resources and also their link to

Good luck with your hobby!

If you go for a Mauser or Mosin later, look up Classic Arms via Mouse guns -- they are great people to deal with.

I want to go back to work and have done work experience in customer services, data input, reception?

We Answered:

I work for a UK based plc, that recruits individuals such as yourself, from all walks of life.

We are currently looking for people to participate in the fastest growing markets in the UK !

We offer fantastic incentives and promotions... Up-front customer gathering bonuses... full or part time... no stock to carry... generous on-going commission... Plus full training and support...

It would require you attend a days training...

I would be happy to forward you any information you may require, plus a short promotional video that explains in more detail.

I would need your email address of course, but fully understand if this is not for you,

Good luck in your search,

Mick - United Kingdom

What is the best motorcycle for me?

We Answered:

If you are looking at Enfields that means you are not in California. Which also means you can look at the new Suzuki TU250. A little on the small side, but very good looking. Other Standards include the Moto Guzzi V7 and Triumph Bonneville.

Then there's my bike, now marketed as the S40.
