When an employer wants to know about team work they are basically trying to find out how well you work with others and how effective you are in a group setting. Examples: sharing labwork projects in science classes, team sports like football, baseball etc.

I have started the answer and hopefully that will point you in the right direction. Other points - don't use abbreviations (I've), type it and put it through a spell and grammar checker. Answer-
I have chosen electrical engineering because.................

State why you wish to pursue a career with Corus?
Answer-
I wish to pursue a career with Corus because as a large organization there will be opportunities for me to learn a variety of skills from qualified tradesmen. It is also a company which has managed to grow during the recession and so will be able to offer a chance to progress my chosen career in electrical engineering.

What skills do you have which are most relevant to the apprenticeship discipline you are applying for?
Answer-
I’ve worked in a trade for 3-4 years and am a hard and conscientious worker. I have worked with an electrical and kitchen fitting companies learning skills which will help with electrical engineering.

Please give details of a situation when you have worked in a team environment?
Answer -
I have had a lot of experience working as a team; here are examples from previous jobs.
1. When fitting Kitchens on a big job there were up to 5 tradesmen working together regularly. We had to make sure that each persons work would not disrupt everyone else's.
2. When I was working with the electrical firm we installed cables manually for floodlights on a rugby field. There was a team of 6 working together pulling, joining and fitting cables and floodlights.

We Answered:

The first job you should take is one on the school newspaper and get as many tear-sheets in your book (portfolio) as you can.

After you have honed your skills shooting news events, approach the local paper and work as a part time photographer for them

As are working toward your degree, network with any working pro you can find so when you graduate you some opportunities already lined up.

While in school, join as a student member of ASMP and NPPA and start building a strong professional networking base you can use later when you go out into the world.

Knowing how to write is a huge plus, especially in today's economy. The more skills you bring to the table, the better. You will learn to write while getting your degree in Photojournalism.

When working for a regional paper, you will of course travel within the region, but if you mean traveling from state to state or internationally, that will happen if you work for a national magazine or have established a reputation of being able to get the best shots when compared to the other photographers covering the same event and are picked up by a news agency. That all takes time and experience.

You should always tackle these questions in the followoing format.

1- The Situation,
2- The Action
3- The Outcome.

So if i were to answer, I worked in a team of 10 Financial administrators, the begining of every month was always a busy time. One of my colleagues needed to complete a report and also had to finish the routine work. I helped my colleague by distributing his work load amonst the rest of the team. As a team we all were able to acheive our service level and that particular colleague was also able to complete the report timely.

You can be more elaborative with this if you want.
