Does any body know any GAME COMPANYS that let people do WORK EXPERIENCE there?

We Answered:

They probably aren't looking for an intern who can't type a complete sentence.

work experience, HELP!!! APPLE STORE OR GAME ART?

We Answered:

Go for the game art- see if you actually like it or if its what you think its about.

Not knocking the Apple Store- good retail experience in an area you obviously enjoy. I'd only have that for my first choice if you're looking to work there soon as it could be a good way in.

Hector Said:

I have work experience tomorrow, what games can you play with reception aged kids?

We Answered:

If you mean at lunch time ask the kids what they want to play. Sometimes they just use their imagination. In the classroom the teacher probably has suitable board games. Good luck.

Teresa Said:

Where and how can i get work experience at a gaming or computer based company?

go there

Working at a video game studio for work experience?

We Answered:

Yes I have, and whether you'd be able to get employment from a games company is entirely up to your skills and experience.

Generally speaking, even the junior roles tend to get hired by semi-experienced personnel with at least a couple years experience in their relevant field and a 3+ years post-secondary degree.

If you're in this just to say, "oh hey it would be cool to get some work experience at a game company," or "hey I need a job for a while," don't count on it.

Game Industry Work Experience?

We Answered:

Design your own game.

Find a project online that is looking for people to help.

Fire up Valve Hammer and design some half life maps or mods.

Having hard evidence of your design experience is better than getting coffee for code monkies.

Discuss It!
