Ideas for GCSE work experience...x?

We Answered:

If I'm honest with you, hardly anyone gets a good work experience placement that has anything to do with the classes they've taken. ;)

The only thing I can think of, looking at your classes & interests, is maybe you could see if you can work at your local gym?
My friend is interested in sport too, that's what she did and she had a pretty enjoyable experience from what I heard. :)

If not, if you like kids, why not see if you can work at a primary school?
The work's good, there's nothing hard about it & all the little kids will love you. :P

Does work experience (GCSE yr 10) matter? Taking days off?

We Answered:

I didn't go to a week of my work experience and I managed to get in college just fine.
The only thing is that work experience is a good place to get a reference from and it may be worth going just for that.
Your choice really :)

Where Can I Go For My GCSE Work Experience?

We Answered:

Depends what subject your interested in.
I love drama, so, i'm staying at school to help out.
Why don't you jot down a list of things you are interested in then circle the ones that you would love to do for work experience, ask the person in charge of the work experience project and show him the list and ask if any of the one's you've circled are a possibility for you work experience.
You should get lots of help.
They give us a lot of help and advice at our school.
Never be afraid to ask.
Hope I helped.
Good luck hun :D x

BRITAIN ONLY: What GCSE's do i need to become a nurse? Is there any work experience i could do? I'm 14 =]

We Answered:

It's more of an A level thing really, but if your school does health and social care, do it. As for Work Experience, try and do something like a playgroup if you want to be a paediatrician. Or try a small hospital near you for general health.
A Levels you should take, are things like Biology, Medicine and Chemistry. A lot of Sciences!
