Summer jobs for a special ed major?

We Answered:

Working as a one on one support worker for children with disability would be good. I'd check out Easter Seals Camp. You will need a clear criminal check, and most of all, you'll need to enjoy working with special needs and have fun out doors. I sent my child (autism) last summer with a support worker. They both had an amazing week. Every penny I paid him was worth it!

Pamela Said:

I'm about to be a senior in highschool. How would find a job in Alaska for the summer after I graduate?

We Answered:

A hotel or resort is a great place to work for the summer and you often get a lot of perks, to include cheap housing.

Here's a link with a lot of lodging links and you can go to them and check out their employment pages.

Are there any summer jobs for a 17 year old in Fresno, CA?

We Answered:

It's going to be really hard for you to find a job because your not 18 yet. Even if you are already in college. I would suggest you apply to Wild Waters. They are accepting applications! You can do it online on their website.

That's about the only job I can think of...I think Pizza Hut was hiring drivers too...oh and the YMCA hired for their summer camps but you have to go spend the summer there.

OH! I also heard from a friend that works at United Artist movie theater that they are going to begin hiring for the summer in May!

You can also do internships or volunteer! That is also work experience. I have already had two internships with really good references and a lot of volunteer work and I'm 17 too.

Anyway, right now it's hard to find a job because people would rather hire adults than teens with no experience if they have the choice and right now company's have the choice because of they way the economy is.
