I think if you write to your local hospital, not only are you likely to get a response, but it will look good for you due to having the foresight to do it. Hospitals are forever looking for staff so will appreciate the interest.
I would suggest that before you write, to call/walk to main reception and ask who to address the letter to as letters can go astray or filed and forgotten about.

I know for a fact that the job center have work experience initiatives, so give them a go if you have no joy from writing to the hospital.

Not sure on minimum age requirement but I would guess its 17 to be honest, not 100% on that though.

Find somewhere you want to go for work experience and then either ring up or send a letter to the business, most places will happily offer you a place others may not be able to for insurance reasons. Good luck :)

Start at the bottom and work your way up. I worked per diem for years. I'm a medical pro. and worked in a variety of medical settings. I gained a lot of experience that way by doing a variety of tasks in different areas of the field of medicine.
