What type of job are you expecting to get when you have completed your course of studies? When you know this then that is the type of business you should approach for your work experience placement. Quite often, you may find that the place where you did your work experience is where you can get your first job once you have completed your studies.

Since starting teaching I have been staggered by the high price charged for simple software aimed at primary schools. Working as a full time primary ICT teacher, Inset trainer and primary ICT consultant has allowed me to explore how existing good value and free resources can be integrated into creative teaching.

we was told when we took ourr GCSE subjects, they didn't need to relte to what you wanted to do in life, they were simply something you needed to achieve your GCSE's.
Therefore, I believe you can enjoy work experiece choosng something you wish to do.

My headteacher told us, he went to a hotel for his wor experience and it really didn't effect him being a teacher, he says it's just to do something you enjoy.

We Answered:

For most courses at University, Work experience is by no means neccessary, but does boost your application if you have some as it shows a passion for your subject. However, it is not necessary, and Grades are more important in gaining a place.

The only exceptions are things like Medicine or Vet Med, where nearly all applicants will have 3 As so Work experience is almost essential to avoid being one of the weaker candidates. However, you shoud be fine with ICT. As long as you have good grades and an interest in your subject you should get some offers out of your 5 choices.
