You could try some advertising agencys, not sure how much market research they would do but they would have to do some research before they sell a product, and there is how they make the adds, and come up with ideas to sell products, some agencies are:

Hi i'm in year 10 and need ideas for work experience?

We Answered:

Hi I had to W.E weeks, one in April and one in November after SC.

I went to an environmental consultant, which I really like where I took soil samples and wrote up field report, if you enjoy science in particular chemistry I recommend you go to an environmental consultant.

For the 2nd one I went to Deutche Bank in Sydney, I was in foreign exchange, options and with the Australian Chief economist planing and predicting what the RBA would do at the next meeting from the minutes of the November meeting.

They were both different, if you like economics then I recommend a bank, if you like science in particular chem then pick an environmental scientist.

Hope that was a help, the main thing is to network get your parents involved because they may know someone who knows someone else, who can help, start asking around now.

go to www.myfuture.edu.au and you can find a booklet, which has subject lists and associated jobs for it and what levels of qualifications you may need to get the job.

Hope that was a help

I need ideas for work experience. I'm in year 10 and not sure what to do.?

We Answered:

There are literally a million types of jobs out there so it is hard to recommend what is a good job for you.

There are many factors to consider. Do you want to be rich? Or do you just want to do something rewarding? Do you want to work with people? Do you want to be a white collar or blue collar worker?

I suggest you do what you like. What is your interest? What are your hobbies? Explore that as a career.

Good luck

year 10 work experiences ideas?

We Answered:

The problem with work experience is that the company who takes you on needs a worker to spend all their time with you and that is expensive for a company to do when most do not have any one spare.

I have worked in an office where we used to allow one or two for the week but it was hard finding something which was not repetitive and boring to keep some one with no idea of work, occupied for a few hours let alone a week.

Hairdressers are the best ones to go to, they can keep you busy making cups of tea and coffee for customers and generally talking to them, sweeping up hair or running errands.

A lot of places the work is relatively dangerous, building sites, garages, factories and so on. You can not answer the phone because you do not know anything about the work to answer queries. Even a process like making photocopies, you need to know how to work the machine.

Some small shops such as a newsagents may be of help but as they also sell cigarettes which being under 18 you should not be exposed to. There are a lot of jobs like using a food slicer you need to be 18 to use and then only after training for safety.

I would try a hairdressers if I were you. Mixing solutions for hair involves science and the gossip between the customers would fit in with media studies. Graphics could be to do with shape and design for the creation of the hairstyles. At least it will be getting out of school for a week and you may get your hair done for free too. 00

Bonnie Said:

What shall i do for my year 10 Work Experience?

We Answered:

I've been doing mine this week so maybe this'll help-
Look at the local businesses in your area. If there are any that you're interested in then contact them to check that they take on people on work experience. It may be hard for you to get a place at an architectural company because there might not be much you can do but ask around any way. If you can't find a placement you want then try looking for something that relates to what you want to do. i.e. you could look at graphic design as it sounds like you're very creative. make sure it's something you want to do. Good luck!
