Second you would need to be an outstanding make up artist, very original and quite gifted.
Third, the competition for this type of work is fierce and most vacancies are filled by personal recommendation.
In reality your chances are slim to none

I would say volunteer, in the long run it will work out
Go to a lot of diff salons and ask the manager if you can come and help out, learn from the existing people there. At first you would be doing menial things, but pver time they'll trust you adn you'll get to help out more
Make bussiness cards, tell your moms friends about free makeup/hair lessons, you can do a lot if you just puteffort into it. good luck :D

why not go to a high end or really popular salon and ask to job shadow the make up artist for a few sessions since its for school...that or go to an art school near u, there should be a certain area for those getting into the cosmetics industry...job shadow the professor and work as teachers assistant for a day or two or how ever long u need to work there for ur school. just explain its for school and that being a make up artist is ur dream job that u will shoot for when u get old enough to go to some classes.

If you can hold down a job in the make up section of your preferred department store... you can gain experience and knowledge of whats new and whats available... and this should work as a definite plus when applying for work experience :)
