Marketing Work Experience

Vanessa Said:

Has anyone self published? If so, how was your experience? Was marketing your work difficult?

We Answered:

I used to self-publish years ago. At the time it was kind of a pain, because you had to buy in bulk to be able to afford it, and then I had to spend a lot of time pitching the book, just to make back my initial investment. I think I came pretty close to breaking even, but I gave a lot of books away. And traded a lot for other things. One of my favorite things about it was that you could just swap with other people for their work. You got some crap this way, but you got to discover some really good stuff, too.

These days, it's a lot cheaper to self-publish, and an awful lot easier, because of print-on-demand technology, so the only cost is the books you sell or give away. I'm trying to build a more professional reputation, so I haven't taken advantage of it. But if you want to, I recommend lulu.com; they have a good reputation for being upfront and not trying to swindle you.

Juanita Said:

i am quite interested in sales and marketing where do you think i should go for my work experience?

We Answered:

Honestly.

Be your own boss.

It's not too hard and doesn't really cost to much money to your feet off of the ground. All you need is to find a good product out there that can help you.

Internet marketing really does work, I don't care what anyone has to say, I'm making a living from it and I hardly even get on the computer lol.

Is it POssible to apply for UK HSMP Visa on the basis of MBA MArketing degree and 3+ years of work experience?

We Answered:

Of course you can apply. The final choice is with the people who do the evaluation of your application. Until you apply, they can not make that determination.
