We Answered:

Most businesses (especially the larger organisations) get big pats on the back for involving schools in what they do so are keen to take students for WEX. Start looking and asking as soon as you can (as places go quickly for decent placements!).

My brother did his work experience at the local newspaper - so it is definitely possible to do that type of thing!

When I was at school (a few years ago!!) - a student went to NASA in America, although obviously they had to fund the travel. Amazing opportunities for work experience are out there - although if you leave it to the school (who have lots to sort out!) it may not be so amazing!

It is worth mentioning that any organistion willing to take a student on placement these days MUST have insurance specifically to cover the student. I say this as we get lots of students who stumble at this hurdle when choosing their own placements!
