I don't think you can actually get a part time job teaching without experience or some type of degree or certification. These days, not just anyone can teach a child. Yes, volunteer work with kids is the best - you might want to do some type of reading program assistance.
Even if you plan to teach high school, you will probably need to have some training working with kids. Ask your counselor what programs your can get involved in to better prepare yourself for this career, if you have any doubts.
