My wife really didn't have any. It's nice to have a little, but it's possible to get away with not having any.

However, I'd recommend it just so you can see what a pharmacist does. It's not for everyone.

You could try your local chemists that have a pharmacy department (larger Boots for example), check at your local Dr surgeries or even with your local NHS or private hospital. Good luck.

Well, I know from people who have gone on work experience in local pharmacies that a lot of what you'll be doing is just selling medicines (and other thing, the boring stuff pharmacies stock like make-up and nappies), but I guess it depends on the place.

I'm sure if you express a great interest in pharmacy when applying for this work experience, and say that you would be really interested in shadowing a pharmacist for the week or fortnight (or whatever), he or she will be glad to facilitate you, if they hadn't already planned to.

Although, I don't really know how wok experience is dealt with wherever you are, maybe it's very different!

experience shows u can work well in the situation etc and so its good for your CV and getting a job afterwards. It goves u a lil peep into the real world of pharmacy and what exactly goes on and what y ou will be doing for the rest of your life probably.it requires being responsible of course coz there are different doses of each medicine and if u give wrong one, you are in really bad trouble. therefore, u need experience and u need to do it. its good and should be fun too. learn new things in industry.
