It really depends on you and what you are prepared to put into the work situation. I worked in residential care and we welcomed students on work experience. A programme to let them experience all aspects of the establishment including working with the residents, cleaning, cooking and management was devised to give them an all-round experience. Whatever you do, ask for a similar programme so that you can get as much as possible out of the placement

Look in your local telephone directory for solicitors in the area. Write/email, or ring them up. They will be impressed by the initiative you have taken to find a work placement.
