I'm having a panic attack, so overwhelmed!! Feel like the whole worlds mocking me! Any advice plez!!?

We Answered:

Believe it or not, I actually read your whole rambling diatribe. ;-)

If you write like this in any business correspondence, you will not get a job. It reads like you didn't take a breath. Plus you gave too much of yourself in here. Remember, people really don't want to know everything, especially in business relationships.

However, in this forum, honesty is a good thing.

Let me tell you about myself, then I want you to look at the people around you and compare them to me.

I'm 44 and work of the USPS. $52,000 a year, great benefits, crappy hours, psycho coworkers, divorced, and no life. Does that sound like any people you know? I'm a wage slave!

You are in the Perfect place right now to be the master of your own life. Stay at home and think about starting you own business. Do most of the work from home, then move it to a van, then maybe a store front in a few years.

If you don't know what to do, then look at the places you are applying to. What do they do and who are their customers? Copy them. You don't have to be original, you just have to do a good job. Start small, live at home, do the work there, then expand slowly.

Talk to your mother about this and see if she will help you. You have a great future in front of you if you will apply yourself. You friends who are wage slaves and using all their money to pay for rent and cable TV will be jelous of you in a few years.

In this Macy's rejection e-mail, does it sound like they're saying I'm overqualified?

We Answered:

no, they're not saying you're overqualified - but that'd be nice, right? They're saying that you are a strong candidate and that they might consider you in the future. However, right now they've got candidates whose credentials are suiting to their needs and are politely rejecting you.

Stacey Said:

How does my resume look? what can i improve?

We Answered:

Your resumé is impresive, especially your experience, but their is some errors which pose a threat to your resumé,
first of all, you have three years in management, so this doesn't make you a starter.

As of your objective write.

To acquire a position with an opportunity for professional growth in a people-oriented organization where advancement in Management is based upon skills and contributions.

Or

Management position with growth-oriented company offering opportunity for advancement and professional development.

Make sure that your objetive is short and attractive, such as the one I wrote here.

As of your education, dont inlcude the courses which you took. Just include the year you graduated in.

Remember its very important to keep your resume under one page, try limiting the wording in your employement section.

Why Can't I find a job?

We Answered:

I think you must answer several questions of yourself. Do not take offense.

1. Do you have money in the bank?
a. If you have then you may nor REALLY want a job.
2. How is your personal hygiene?
a. Do you keep yourslef clean and neat?
b. Do you dress the part?
1. People are becoming more and more aware of the slopiness of others.
Ask yourslef if you genuinely want a job.
One other thing (to me at least) you seem to bounce around from job to job not staying very long at anything. I am much older and when I was working ( I am now a Consultant) it was impressive to have had the same job for several years. Here are the keys:
1. Decide on a job you really enjoy. There is an old axiom that reads: do what you enjoy doing and you will never work another day in your life. It is imperative to find your niche in life. When you do, bend your back and work harder than anybody else by: coming in early and staying late, stay busy and be happy, be honest with yourself and others, do not engage in cossip or inane talk, do your job the best and help others. When management are looking for somebody to promote you will be the first they will notice. MOST IMPORTANT: Get aquainted with our God and learn His ways that will help you immensley.

Do you agree with the same people that are requesting to continue Bush tax cuts on the Rich, on pro-amnesty?

We Answered:

Regardless of party affiliation , we need to either deport them or make them legal residents (not citizens) , because millions of people with illegal status is ridiculous .

Jo Said:

What do U think Tennessee Woman Accuses Farm of Favoring Foreigners advocates for illegals what say U?

We Answered:

It's a common myth, spread by Hispanic supremacists, big business and the left, that Americans will not do certain jobs. this is false, as Americans will do unpleasant jobs if the pay is fair and the working conditions are okay.

Big business has been buying Congressional and Presidential support for open borders, no enforcement of our immigration laws, and amnesty for illegal aliens for decades. The article below backs me up on this.

Who's Lobbying on Immigration and Why? New Report Details Extensive Corporate Lobbying for Increased Immigration
http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnw/20090106/pl…

WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) finds that over the past three years dozens of well-known American corporations, representing virtually every sector of the economy, have committed extensive resources lobbying for increased immigration, more foreign guest-workers, and amnesty for illegal aliens. Many of these same corporations that have pressured Congress to provide them a cheap labor supply have recently been pink-slipping their existing workers and seeking federal taxpayer bailouts. The report, Immigration Lobbying: A Window into the World of Special Interests, is the first and only study of lobbying on immigration policy and reveals a scope of influence previously unknown.
