Travel Work Experience

Samuel Said:

Has anyone ever use the InterExchage program to work and travel australia? what was your experience?

We Answered:

I haven't heard of anyone's experience with them but you definitely won't need any help with your visa if you're from a country that has Working Holiday arrangements with Australia. WH visa are fast and easy to get and only cost AUD$195 if you do the application yourself.

Jobs are another matter. Most working holiday makers don't stay in one city for very long but travel around picking up casual work in food/bar service, fruitpicking etc. as they go. If that's how you want to approach it, I can't see how any agency could be of much help and that type of work shouldn't be too badly affected by a recession. I guess they could be useful if you're looking for longer term jobs but I'd want some guarantees before I forked out any money. Job recruiters in Australia don't ever charge the employee and if the jobs are available to InterExchange, then they should be available to you too.

I've got my Work Experience soon, was wondering about Travel & Tourism. I want to be an Air Hostess when older?

We Answered:

Generally, if you have graduated from high school, and over 21, you're eligible to be hired. Airlines prefer to do their own training, their own way.

If you want a leg up on other candidates, learn a second language, and get some medical training. An Air Hostess/Flight Attendant is there for one main reason: To help passengers in the event of an emergency. Serving food and drinks is secondary.

How to get work experience in Germany?

We Answered:

Well I recommend to get in touch with the local branch of your job center in UK and ask for an Eures adviser. The European Union has different work exchange programs for young Europeans. Have a look here to grasp some ideas:http://ec.europa.eu/eures/home.jsp?lang=…

Im very interested in going to canada to work and travel for a year, where is the best place to organise this?

We Answered:

Where you from?

Canada has a program set up with over a dozen countries called a Working Holiday Visa which is aimed at exactly what you are looking for. It allows young people from 18-30 (some countries 35) to work and live in Canada for up to 12 months (some countries get 24 months).

Just google Working Holiday Canada and see if there is a program with your country.

If you are intimidated by the whole process, there are agencies such as BUNAC and SWAP that are there to help you out.

Good luck and have fun!

Do you need work related experience to become a traveling respiratory therapist after school?

We Answered:

I was a traveling RT for 6 years. I worked all throughout the Midwest and beyond. Some companies are desperate enough to take a new grad, but the consequence is lower pay for you. Also, when you are new you cant tell the good companies from the bad. My good experiences were with, Club Staffing, Compheath, Aureus, to name a few. Go to healthcaretraveler.com for a free magazine and tons of information on travel agencies. Good Luck!

Work Experience In A Travel Agents?

We Answered:

Are there any near where you live?

Just go in & ask if it's possible or maybe phone them up, I don't see any problem with you doing work experience in one, also ask soon as then you have more chance rather than leaving it till like a few weeks or something.

Good luck with it
