University Work Experience

Elizabeth Said:

Where could i go for work experience for University?

We Answered:

Sometimes laboratories will hire high school students as interns, that's what I'd look for first. Another option is to find a job where you use lasers, maybe even welding, or do some electrical work. Good luck!

Juan Said:

What would be good for me to get into university, e.g. work experience etc.?

We Answered:

One thing that all schools have in common is that they love volunteer work. So make sure you get a lot of volunteer experience in and maybe check out your current school's extracurricular activities. You sound like you're taking a lot of science/technical courses so if you get some social experience then you'll be set. Colleges love well rounded people. Beverly Said:

Can I apply for MBA in a US university after two years of work experience and an online MBA?

We Answered:

You already have an MBA? What's wrong with it--was it from an accredited university?

Generally you can apply as an MBA student if you have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited school.

Moreover, if you hold an MBA from one accredited school, I don't expect that you'd be admitted for a second MBA. It's a case of apparently needless duplication. If the first MBA wasn't accredited then it's not a concern.

If you're in want of better graduate education, and you already hold a valid MBA, consider going for the PhD.

Misty Said:

What is more beneficial University or work experience?

We Answered:

Ryan: First of all, good luck with your career choice. As a HR leader with 17 years of experience and over 11 years of teaching at a job hunters at a university I will simply tell you that whether experience or education is more important depends on the career you are interested in.

Since you are interested in graphics, and many employers will require knowledge of computer-based graphic design, I would suggest you obtain at least a bachelor's degree and perhaps while doing so, see if you can build up your work experience at the same time by donating graphic design assistance to the charities of your choice near the university you attend?

Jason Said:

Is work experience necessary for university application?

We Answered:

If you already do volunteer work, then don't get a job for the sole motivation of getting into college. Volunteer works shows that you are involved already. Along with your other clubs. Unless you have time and energy to burn and have a deep seated urge to get a job then don't. It is okay to sleep every once and a while.
