Well, You need to understand how space-time works. When you can understand this you can understand how 'time-space' can be warped so much it can go backwards in a loop i.e a worm hole. Though most of this is theory it could still very well be possible.

There are many other things needed to explain how time travel 'could' work I only wanted to give a quick, short explanation. But It is almost certain it is possible to view the past. as you would know light travels as a particular speed. and the further away you are the longer it takes for the light to reach you. Imagine being 100 light years away from earth, but viewing it through a 'super' telescope. you would technically be watching the past, And if we could go far enough away from earth and look back, the further into out past we can see.

Photographers for National Geographic are at the top of their field. Don't expect to get an offer right out of photography school. Look for a job that pays the rent first. Having discouraged you, let me say that there is hope. I attended one of their seminars, which was an excellent orientation to the field. Here is the link to the schedule: http://ngtravelerseminars.com/. In the one I attended, there was a section for pitching ideas. If they heard something that sounded interesting then they pursued it. They seek the kind of imagery that tells a story. It's not the stuff you can buy in a postcard store. So travel and bring your camera. Look for the unique, rare, or surprising and which conveys an emotion or evokes one in the viewer. Build up your experience. Hone your skills. Be self-critical. A good photographer can get a winning shot with a 3 megapixel camera, while a hack will still get junk from an $8,000 DSLR.

It would mean getting a residency/work permit, and this is very expensive, and you would need a job offer in Ireland in order to be able to do this. Alternatively, you could investigate whether or not your immediate ancestors were born in an EU country, which would mean that you could apply for citizenship of that country, and then you wouldn't need the work permit. EU nationals can live and work in other EU countries.

Right now, as a US citizen, you are out of luck, unless you have a specific qualification or skill that's rare and required in Ireland. We are also suffering from the backlash of the economic downturn, so at the moment Irish employers are taking on Irish nationals mainly.

Good question...some people just have no sense of humor.

I'll say that the flux capacitor is able to generate a localized magnetic field around the vehicle which is large enough to both separate and warp the fabric of space-time. Thus, an object can move within the time continuum without changing physical location. Picture an ant crawling along a piece of paper. If you bend the paper such that the ends are very close together, the ant is able to step across the small gap and arrive at the other side of the paper nearly instantaneosly. When the paper is returned to it's normal shape, it appears to a fellow ladybug on the far side of the paper as though the ant has appeared out of nowhere.

In the same way, warping the time continuum without distorting physical space allows the Dolorian to cross to another point in the time continuum, but remain at the same physical location. Clearly, 88 miles per hour is crucial because of the length of time that the distortion can be maintained.

It's either this, or Doc Brown was all hopped up on happy pills when he came up with the idea.
