At 16 it is very hard to get a job or internship, but it is not impossible. You just have to be a little creative, which I guess you are since you want to be in fashion. I'm not sure what you want to do in fashion, but mark. is a great way to start. You can learn about the industry and blog or share what you know online, have fashion events, and promote your business.

Another thing you can do is to do volunteer work. You can work with non-profits that help people to learn to dress professionally like "Dress For Success". I'm sure there are others out there try volunteer match. I listed it.

Try internship sites like internships.com. Most of these are for college students, but it doesn't hurt to look.

Depending on where you live you can try to meet up with local designers, or clothing store owners and ask if you can help them. This seams kind of difficult, but the direct approach always shows maturity.

You can start your own business. IDK what you want to do, but that can be fun.

Research the industry and start a blog, show what you can do in sketches, designs, photography, or writing. Read lots of fashion books, and show off what you have learned. Network online with linked in and other social media sites, join industry groups and show your work.

Basically if you can't find an internship create your own and have fun doing it.
