We Answered:

yes, they WILL find out if you have told a porky pie!

just imagine, you have been invited for an interview, and they ask you ''so how was your work experience?'' ''what did you learn?'' ''where di it take place?'' ''oh? I've never heard of that before, are you sure?''

*CHOKE*

how would you handle that?

NEVER lie on your UCAS app.

good luck

Hi I need help with my career!?

We Answered:

Keep in mind that to train to be a psychologist will take three years undergraduate degree, one year masters and three years PhD. There is a LOT of cost involved in this and so it may not be practical in the long run..

something like Vetinary nursing still takes a fair bit of time to study, but you can work in the environment whist you are studying and may be able to get some training or sponsership through the people you work for so you wont have to pay your fees..

there is always demand for adult nursing so this could be a good idea and physiotherapy could take a while to study or you could train through evening courses.

If you want to use your experience of depression/anxiety, I would suggest you look into a diploma in counselling perhaps? Psychology deals a lot more in the biological side of mental disorders and is a good course but the undergraduate degree wont get you into the profession on its own... you will need further study and this does cost.

There are diplomas in counselling (in UK) that are more willing to take people with life experience rather than academic qualifications and it is often a career that people go into later in life to share their wisdom. If you go into a course accredited by the BACP (British Association of counselling and Psychotherapy) then you can begin practicing after the course is finished.

I am about to start a two year diploma in person centred counselling.. although it is classed as a full time course they only teach two days each week allowing for part time jobs during the study, so this is a good one if you have other commitments whist you are studying.

Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

What type of job might I be suited to?

We Answered:

I was thinking you'd might like to be an elementary teacher and work with children. Special Ed teachers are always in high demand. Children always love to sing songs, but I'm a terrible singer and wish I could carry a tune.
